Indian Human Rights Council is an association registered under Sec. 8 of the Companies Act 2013 (1956), incorporated on 10th September 2014 in Pune, Maharashtra, India. IHRC has accordingly, adopted the definition of the Human Rights as spelt out u/s Section 2(1)(d) of the Protection of Human Rights Act 1993, i.e. “Human Rights as the rights relating to life, liberty, equality and dignity of the individual guaranteed by the Constitution of India or embodied in the International Covenants and enforceable by courts in India.
